FIFA has confirmed that they have rejected Chelsea’s appeal over their two-window transfer ban. This means that the premier league club will not be able to sign senior players for the next two transfer windows.
Chelsea was booked in relation to 29 out of 92 cases registered against them. They were found guilty for breach of rules relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.
The rule states that crossed bordered transfer of players aged under 18 are banned. Unless there is a specific, non-footballing reason for the player moving to the relevant country.
In response to this, Chelsea has decided to appeal again this time to CAS (Court of Arbitration for sports).
