India registered their 2nd victory against Australia in the ICC World Cup 2019. The men in blue who scored 352-5, bowled out the Aussies and won by a margin of 36 runs.
Amidst the victory, Vijay Mallya(ex-chairman of United Spirits) leaving the stadium was spotted leaving The Oval stadium post the match.
Mallya who fled India to avoid charges against financial crimes was greeted by an active mob outside the venue. The crowd didn’t back down from reminding him of his crime and constantly yelled “Chor!(thief)”. While the convicted mostly remained silent, he just said “I am making sure my mother doesn’t get hurt.”
Here’s a video showing Mallya leaving the venue:
Previously, Mallya was also spotted at the same venue at Ind vs SA match during ICC Champion’s Trophy in 2017.
