Eggs were hurled at her, followed by multiple gunshots.Mitali Chandola found herself gawking to her horrid when the dreaded incident occurred at 12:30 AM on Sunday.
Confirmed by news agency ANI, the journalist is working for a media company in Noida. She was reportedly driving in east Delhi’s Vasundhara Enclave when a Maruti Swift overtook her i20.
“Two masked assailants first threw eggs at the front glass of my car and when I did not stop, they fired two shots at me,” the complainant said.
Masked men tossed eggs at her window shields and then came the gunshots. Multiple shots! Two of them punctured through the tempered glass and injured her arm. The men then sped away leaving her in agony. She has been admitted to Dharamshila Hospital and is out of danger. The police are trying to rule out the possibilities that led to this and are rather dubious about her personal issues with her family. “She has received bullet injuries in her arm. She is out of danger. Prima facie it appears to be case of family dispute,” senior police officer Jasmeet Singh told reporters.
