The unveiling of the Sportback concept will take place in the Los Angeles Autoshow in November 2019. Since the Detroit Motorshow will take place in June 2020 instead of January 2020, the company decided to prepone the announcement of the e-tron Sportback. The company wants to give limitless freedom to their potential customers in terms of effortless driving and technology used.

The Sportback promises a massive range of 500 km in a single charge, which will allow the customers to use it for daily commute and long drives. The Sportback will produce 370kW of power with its massive electric batteries. Thanks to the combination of batteries and motors, the powertrain will be capable of generating instantaneous torque.

Regenerative braking will help improve the efficiency by bringing the power back to its electrical unit. The making of the electronic drivetrain is under process; the company can still surprise us by introducing new technology.

The company will start the production of the e-tron Sportback from March 2020, with the start of sales in the first half of 2020. Audi will get fierce competition from Ford as well. Ford is also planning to launch its all-electric SUV inspired by their iconic Mustang. It is obvious why Audi wants to start their production as soon as possible. Currently, Audi is at par with other automotive companies when it comes to hybrid vehicles.
