Bernie Sanders heart attack, will his campaign be affected?

Bernie Sanders had a heart attack recently, but will it affect his campaign? His events, in the past, were canceled because of his health.

Sander’s deteriorating health has yet again challenged his campaign for the presidency of the United States of America. Senator Bernie Sanders, 78, was discharged from a Las Vegas hospital last Friday following a heart attack.

After two and a half days in the hospital, I feel great, and after taking a short time off, I look forward to getting back to work

Bernie Sanders after being discharged.

Doctors Arturo Marchan Jr. and Arjun Gururaj, who treated him, said that he was diagnosed with myocardial infarction (heart attack) and 2 stents were placed in a blocked coronary artery. All this occurred in a timely fashion as all other arteries were normal. This was the second time in the last two months for which he backed out from his events due to health issues. In September, his three campaign events and appearances in South Carolina were canceled as the senator apparently “lost his voice” while addressing a rally in Denver.

Upon leaving the hospital, Sanders was seen walking on his own with his wife Jane and a few campaign staffers. He waved at the camera and yelled, “Feeling great!”

In a video later posted on Twitter, he thanked his supporters, saying, “Hello everybody, we are in Las Vegas. I just got out of the hospital few hours ago, and I am feeling so much better. Thank you all for the love and warm wishes that you send me. See you soon on the campaign trail.”

Jane further added, “Thank you all so much. It really made a difference.”

Doctors claim Sanders has made good progress & has been advised to follow up with his personal physician. Neither his campaign nor his doctors indicate whether or not he suffered any permanent damage.

If he wins the US Presidential election scheduled on November 3, 2020, he will be the oldest person, 79 then, to hold the position until now.

Sanders is in no mood to leave any page unturned to make that happen even at this age, and his opponents won’t hesitate to stone his pathway in any possible manner. Whatever the result be, this is going to be a fierce battle of experience and expertise. We can safely say that Sanders will not allow his campaign to get affected by this incident.
