3 days ago, on Wednesday, Selena Gomez released her new music video Lose You to Love Me. It is said that she referred to her and Justin Bieber’s relationship in the lyrics of her song.
In two months you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing.
In March of 2018, the couple broke up. Following the breakup, Justin quickly got together with Hailey and proposed to her in July of that same year.
What Hailey did
It was said that Hailey took to Instagram and posted a story of her listening to Summer Walker’s I’ll Kill You. Selena’s fans thought that Hailey was throwing shade over Selena’s new single. However, Hailey put a stop to all the speculations by commenting on a Just Jared post. She said, “Please stop with this nonsense … there is no ‘response.’ This is complete BS.” She then deleted the comment.
Selena standing up to Hailey
Selena had also noticed this misconception and addressed it in her recent Instagram live. She stated:
I do not stand for women tearing women down. And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. If you’re my fans, don’t be rude to anybody, please. Don’t go off and say things that you just feel in the moment. And just please, from me, know that that’s not my heart. My heart is only to release things that I feel that are me and that I’m proud of. And that’s all that I’ll say, yeah.
Selena Gomez’s comment on the misconception
All in all, we can say that Selena and Hailey do not have any enmity, considering the fact that they stood up for each other.
