Microsoft Windows new design fixes a major problem with inconsistent app icons

Microsoft just revealed its new app icons and logo for Windows. There are more than 100 icons that have been redesigned with new colors, a fresh look, and a more 3D vibe. The refresh was not surprising, as it was expected since last year. The new icons, though very aesthetic, are long overdue in the company’s late finish to modernizing the look of Windows.

The biggest problem that the company faced while redesigning these icons were the actual design themselves. The company had to give a fresh perspective on existing logos while maintaining the original familiarity of the icon/logo.

The new icons finally bring Windows into a more consistent environment. Windows 10 is known for its inconsistency, with the outer look feeling way more modern than its inner settings. Some of the icons that the company has been using dates many over many years, and they have still not been updated.

The new Windows logo will be aimed more at the upcoming Windows 10X. Windows 10X is an OS designed for dual-screen devices, and most importantly, no more live times. Though the update isn’t major, it will bring tears of joy to many people that have been tired of seeing the same icons for decades.
