The concept models were successful in blowing the minds of many automotive enthusiasts.
Many automakers chose different platforms to showcase their concept models. The Geneva Autoshow 2019 was one of the most successful in providing the opportunity to the companies to display their concepts.
So here are some of the best concept cars of 2019.
Lagonda All-Terrain Concept
Lagonda is a British company, which had been owned by Aston Martin in 1947. Lagonda is working hard to be the world’s first zero-emission luxury brand. The company intends to combine luxury with the latest technology, which is utterly modern and visually spectacular. Lagonda All-terrain is the second concept after the vision. The Lagonda All-Terrain looks very futuristic from outside, and the CEO of the company promised a jet-like experience from inside. Lagonda is hoping the range of 400 miles in full charge. The company is working on its charging technology as the automakers claimed the fast charging option, capable of charging the battery in just 15 minutes.
Kia Motors showcased the Imagine Concept at Geneva Motorshow 2019. It is a 4-door concept which catches attention because of its unique interior design. The dashboard is covered with almost 21 high-resolution screens. The Kia not only focuses on electric technology, range, or charging but also wants the upmarket and lavish design to put in front of the customers.
Alfa Romeo Tonale PHEV
Alfa Romeo Tonale is the latest concept from the Italian manufacturers. It is the first plug-in hybrid and a compact SUV from the Alfa Romeo. The powertrain used in Tonale will be the same as the Jeep Renegade. The automakers claimed that the Tonale would be one of its kind. The engine will be in front, whereas the electric powertrain fit in the rear. The combination of both the combustion and electrical technology will produce large amounts of power and incredible torque. It will also be super luxurious from inside. The seat coated with leather and Alcantara will give an upmarket look.
Aston Martin Valhalla (AM RB 003)
Aston Martin RB 003 is a sports car which comes under a 2-door coupe category. It is the best of the design from British automakers. The RB 003 is the upcoming mid-engine hypercar, inspired by the F1 and Aston Martin Valkyrie. Red Bull has join hands with the Aston Martin to take the engineering aspects and advanced technology in design to greater heights. It is expected to come with a twin-turbo V6 engine producing more than 1000bhp.
Nissan IMQ is the third concept of the Intelligent Mobility segment. It is unlike its predecessors and uses a hybrid technology to produce more than 300 bhp. The hybrid setup uses a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine in combination with Nissan’s e-Power technology. The Pro-Pilot technology, along with the augmented reality, is going to be used, which gives a futuristic taste.
Bentley EXP 100 GT
It has been 100 years since the British automakers started the company. Bentley EXP 100 GT is a concept car designed to showcase the future of grand touring. It is not just a concept, but a piece of art crafted by the designers and engineers of the company. Since it is going to be a futuristic car, it is designed to function on all-electric powertrain. The humungous front comprises of large grill made up of more than 6000 LED bulbs separated by thin copper strips. The concept portrays the use of aluminum and carbon fiber to decrease the curb weight of the car.
BMW Vision M Next
The all-new BMW M Next is the concept from the German automakers, which looks very futuristic and robust in terms of its body design. The M Next got its glimpse from the all-electric i8. The vast kidney grille in front and wedge-shaped wing doors add to the sportiness of the concept. The combination of 4-cylinder twin-turbo with an electric powertrain is capable enough to give the best output possible. The sharp cutting geometry improves the aerodynamics of the supercar.
Lexus LF 30
The four-seater EV concept from the Lexus was one of the most eye-catching concepts from the Tokyo Motorshow 2019. The massive wing doors of the Lexus LF 30 appears to help it take off. It comprises of a powerful electronic powertrain which is expected to generate 536bhp and 700Nm of torque. There will be four motors combined with a 110kWh battery pack to generate the necessary power.
