The General Motors Company (GMC) is back with its much-awaited electric truck. The GMC Hummer EV is a super-truck, capable of delivering the power and performance at its peak. The rumors of a Hummer EV were in and around since 2014, but recently GMC announced the date of the reveal of the Hummer EV in a Super Bowl ad. The company is planning to reveal it on 20 May 2020.
General Motors has put everything in advertising for the new all-electric Hummer. LeBron James is in the Superbowl advertisement, endorsing the upcoming GMC Hummer EV. Super Bowl advertisements are the most viewed ads and get the attention of approximately one-third of the American population. The company wanted to do something big, and there is no platform above the Super Bowl. As expected, the EV teaser spread like a fire and caught the attention of so many viewers.
The Hummer EV is capable of producing 1000bhp and 11,500 lb-feet of torque. The company guarantees 0-60mph in under 3 seconds. Because of these mind-blowing specifications, the truck is can be called a super-truck. Other detailed specifications are not out yet, but it could be heavy competition to the Tesla Cybertruck, being a strong alternative.
The Hummer EV will be available after the fall of 2021. The company is working very carefully on this, and they want to deliver the same as teased. Since it is direct competition to Tesla Cybertruck, the price of Hummer EV can be expected to be the same, around $45,000 to $75,000.
