Citroen Ami: The smallest two-seater EV from Citreon, a French company

Citreon recently revealed the Citroen Ami, the 2-seater electric vehicle in France. This product from Citroen can be called as a more developed two-wheeler closed scooter with two seats, panoramic sunroof, and a heater. It just looks like a toy moving on the road. The intention behind this production EV was to make a compact vehicle that takes up less space, that anyone could be able to ride.

Specs of the Citroen Ami

A 5.5kWh lithium-ion battery powers the Citroen Ami, and can go up to 70kms in one single charge. The maximum speed of the Ami is just 45 km/hr. It takes three hours to charge fully with a standard 220-volt charger. Since it can not be called as a motor vehicle, a person doesn’t need a license to drive it. Anyone above 14 years and 16 years in other European countries can drive it.

Price of Citroen Ami

The Citroen Ami is clean and bold in its specifications and costs very less compared to other EVs. The Ami cost just 6,000 Euros, and the delivery of the electric vehicle will start in June in France. There are other modes also, using which the customer can enjoy the ride of Citroen Ami. People can rent the Ami every month with an initial payment of 2,644 Euros, and afterward by paying just 19.99 Euros each month. It will also be available on car renting portals at a rate of 0.26 euros per min.

Availablity for placing orders

The company will start taking orders at the end of March in France. After some time, people can place orders in Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Germany. Citroen Ami is a great innovation and a unique product from the French manufacturers. It will be exciting to watch its performance in European countries. Since it offers lower performance and is very compact, entry of this particular vehicle into the American market will be a difficult task.
