YouTuber has recreated the entire Earth in Minecraft

PippenFTS has claimed to have built the entire world in Minecraft. PippenFTS is a YouTuber who creates tons of Minecraft videos. He has recently undertaken the job of recreating planet Earth in Minecraft. This project is made possible by two mods, Terra 1-to-1 and Cubic Chunks. Since Minecraft has a height limit, using Cubic Chunks eliminates that obstacle, thus creating a virtually limitless height.

The next step in this process is using the mod Terra 1-to-1. This mod takes geographical data from archives like Google Maps and turns it into Minecraft blocks. The following video goes more into depth on the above information.

There is one setback to this, though. This being the first step in a multitude of steps. With the Terra mod, human structures are rebuilt by the mod as an item that exists in the landscape. This means that items like the Great Pyramids are rebuilt as a pile of mud. Another thing that this includes is mountains with no snow caps.

The way PippenFTS has decided to solve this issue is starting a collective called “Build the Earth” and is asking for aid from his fellow Minecraft enthusiasts. This project was created to get Minecraft builders to create manmade structures and decorate the world with them.

This project will be one definitely for ages, and with the current lockdowns of many states and cities, it’s a plausible one. With all the attention it has gotten, a subredditDiscord, and a Patreon community have been created to cover any costs that arise such as server costs.

In conclusion

I’m definitely curious how long this project will take and what it will look like in the end. Although I’m not a Minecraft enthusiast by any means, this is definitely an interesting concept that has the ability to bear fruit. What do you all think about this project? Will you join in on it or even check it out? Let us know in the comments below!
