The 1999 science fiction action film, The Matrix, is directed by the Wachowskis. It is a groundbreaking motion picture that raised the bar for all science fiction films that came after it with a cast consisting of the world-famous actors Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Carrie-Anne Moss. The filmmakers originally grasped the storyline for the movie as a comic. Warner Brothers thought Wachowskis were not qualified to direct The Matrix because of less directorial experience. Tom Cruise, Johnny Deep, and Leonardo Di Caprio were also considered before the filmmakers selected Keannu Reeves for the part.
Netflix streams it online
As this pandemic has decided to strengthen its lengths to a further date, people are stuck in their homes with nothing but online streaming websites. Netflix is now streaming The Matrix with a green tint. The COVID-19 outbreak is resulting in negative outcomes for the entertainment industry. Ceratin movie premiers have been halted. In light of this issue, Netflix has decided to stream classic movies online.
However, Netflix users have noticed that its version of the first Matrix movie looks greener than its original color. This can be a bit disappointing to those who are familiar with the original film that was released in 1999.
Wachowskis says that the matrix reloaded and matrix revolution scenes within the movie are given a greener tint to signify the difference between the real and virtual worlds. Bill Pope, the director of photography, feels that by showing a green hue in the scenes of the film, they would be invoking a sense of the digital rather than the old, boring bluish ‘real world’ effects.
The greener Matrix has its fans. Many agree with the director’s argument that the green color adds the feeling of being inside The Matrix.
