President Trump to undergo coronavirus testing every day

Reports claim that one of President Trump’s military valet was tested positive for COVID-19. A number of the zealous and true-to-the-end members who belong to a military unit are assigned to the White House. They serve as Trump’s personal valets and often report to the members of the first family. On Wednesday, one of Trump’s valets fell prey to the coronavirus pandemic. The President was greatly disheartened upon hearing the news. Soon after, the White House physician took to test the President for COVID-19.

“We were recently notified by the White House Medical Unit that a member of the United States Military, who works on the White House campus, has tested positive for Coronavirus,” deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley said in a statement. “The President and the Vice President have since tested negative for the virus, and they remain in great health.”

The valet supposedly showed certain “symptoms” of cough and cold previously. The valets, who are responsible for the food and beverage of the President, and are often in close quarters, are tested weekly. “I have had very little contact, personal contact, with this gentleman. I know who he is. Good person. But I have had very little contact. (Vice President) Mike (Pence) has had very little contact with him. But Mike was tested and I was tested. We were both tested,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office of the White House. The White House still has not enforced strict social distancing rules for the valets. The President is to be tested every day after this event happening. Reports claim that there were “a number of days missed” for testing the valet before being tested positive.

Earlier this week, Trump claimed that he isn’t bothered about being in close quarters with his valets. He was boarding an Air Force One plane when he made this claim. “The test result comes back in five minutes, and we have great testing. Or they wouldn’t be allowed to travel with me,” Trump said. “It’s not my choice; it’s a very strong group of people that want to make sure they are tested, including Secret Service.”
