Coffee can reduce deposition of fat in the body, study reveals

Coffee is one of the most beloved beverages which people from all over the world consume. Presumably, every individual would lookout for a warm cup of coffee in the morning to start their day. The global consumption of coffee in a year is seven million tonnes, which seems to be interesting. We know that coffee has some beneficial effects, such as lowering the risk of heart diseases, improving metabolism, appetite control. A recent study has revealed that the women devouring coffee every day are said to have lower body fat than those women who drink less. The study also has shown that some compounds in coffee may have anti-obesity actions that led to regulate body weight.

Coffee naturally contains a variety of compounds, including caffeine, antioxidants and, diterpenes. These may contribute not only to developing flavor but also to the physiological effects of coffee. According to the study by researchers from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK, the average total body fat percentage was 2.8 percent lower among women of all ages who devoured coffee regularly in a day. When it comes to men, it caused 1.3 percent less total fat than those who did not consume during the age of 20-44. These findings were compatible with whether the coffee was caffeinated or decaffeinated and among smokers/non-smokers.

To get a result as above, the researchers had analyzed more than 1,90,000 Americans, and it was organized by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). On analysis, they found that women who drank two to three cups of coffee per day during her 20-44 age had a 3.4 percent reduced level of body fat than those who did not consume coffee. While those women aged between 45 and 69, adiposity levels fell up to 4.1 percent. The data didn’t give any significant difference among men aged except from 20-44.

Finally, by this research, we can understand the effect of coffee on the human body as it reduces the burden of obesity and other health-related condition. However, each foodstuff has its limitations, and to be conscious, we should utilize it in the best way and at the best time.
