Singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi, who is known for his record-breaking hit Despacito, is all set to join the Formula One’s Virtual Grand Prix on Sunday. The Puerto Rican will line up in the racing point car.
Apart from Fonsi, Arsenal striker Pierre-Emeric Aubameyang will also take part in the Virtual Grand Prix for the first time. The Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will also return with Alpha Romero.
Eight regular F1 drivers will also take part in the race on Sunday. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc will take part in his home Grand Prix on the simulated race. Mercedes Valtteri Bottas, who was the runner up of the last season’s world championship, Renault’s Estaban Ocon, will make their Virtual Grand Prix debut on Sunday.
Apart from this, Estaban Gutierrez, Lando Norris, Alex Albon, and Williams pairing of George Russel and Nicolas Latifi will also take part in the race.
Ralf Schumacher, son of David Schumacher, will partner Fonsi at Racing point, whereas Nicolas Prost son of former world champion Alan Prost will partner Ocon at Renault.
Motorcycle rider Luca Salvadori will race for Alpha Taur. Whereas, Hawaiian pro surfer Kai Lenny will take part with the Red Bull team.
Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most anticipated races on the F1 calendar. It is for the first time since 1954 that Monaco Grand Prix will not take place in the F1 season as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
