1. Her mom is a CEO.

Her mom Joan Grande is the CEO of a Florida-based company Hose-McCann Communications. The Grande family bought the company in 1964.

2. She got her start in youth theatre.

When she was young, she performed with Little Palm Theater. She later featured in a Nickelodeon show, “Victorious.”

3. She became famous on Nickelodeon.

“Victorious” had one of the highest-rated debut episodes for any live-action show in Nickelodeon’s history. The shows ran from 2010 to 2014 before being canceled.

4. She used to do covers on YouTube.

She made YouTube covers of several famous songs like “Love the Way You Lie” and “Grenade.”

5. She’s allergic to cats.

She revealed she was allergic to cats on Twitter in 2010.

6. She was accused of copying a lyric for her song, “The Way,” featuring Mac Miller.

According to the lawsuit, she copied some lyrics from the 1972 song “Troglodyte (Cave Man).” In 2015, New York Daily News reported that the suit reached a confidential settlement.

7. She resents her debut single and its music video.

She said, “For the video, they gave me a bad spray tan and put me in a princess dress and had me frolic around the street. The whole thing was straight out of hell. I still have nightmares about it, and I made them hide it on my Vevo page.”

8. She shares a manager with a few fellow big names.

Her manager Scooter Braun also manages Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tori Kelly, and Dan + Shay, among others.

9. She has a huge Instagram fan base.

Her Instagram account is the third most-followed account after Christiano Ronaldo’s and Instagram’s official handles.

10. She has made several billboard records.

She became the first artist in history to have all the lead singles from their first four albums debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. She also became the fourth woman artist to ever have ten songs in the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. In 2014, she joined Adele as the only lead artist to have three singles in the top 10 at the same time.
