Emma Watson: Facts about the Harry Potter actress you didn’t know

Do you remember Hermione Granger from Harry Potter? If you do, here are some facts about actress Emma Watson you probably didn’t know!

1. Emma Watson was born in France.

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born April 15, 1990 in Paris. Her parents divorced when she was young at which point she moved back to England with her mother, because of which she can speak a bit of French too.

2. She excels in studies and is an ivy league grad.

Even though she has been acting from a very young age, she never neglected her studies, Emma Watson is a Brown University graduate. She majored in English Literature.

3. She is a certified yoga and meditation instructor.

She took yoga and meditation in order to unwind herself. But it was not long before she started training in it and became a certified yoga and meditation instructor.

4. She has a favorite Harry Potter book.

Emma’s favourite novel from the magical series is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

5. She has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records.

She has been the highest-grossing actress of the previous decade with her films grossing over 5.4 billion dollars.

6. She worked hard to get the role of Hermoine.

Author J.K. Rowling wanted Emma for the role from the first audition. Emma had no professional acting experience, but her teachers suggested her to the casting directors. She had auditioned eight times to get her role.

7. The actor’s first crush was Tom Felton aka Draco.

When Felton was 12 and Emma Emma 10, the actress said she had a massive crush on him.

8. She keeps a diary.

She is a journal girl. She loves to record everything in her journal and till date she has already written 36 journals.

9. She likes to hide books in different places.

In 2016, Watson made headlines when it was revealed she had been leaving books on New York subways.
