Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PlayStation 5 in 2021. As a result, the game won’t be part of the PS5 2020 holiday season launch.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to the Horizon Zero Dawn video game (which is finally being released for Windows computers this summer). Fans of the original game were hoping to see the new one released this year. The pandemic has caused many video game production delays.
Developed by Guerilla Games, Horizon Forbidden West will once again be a third-person game, set in a post-apocalyptic world, where gamers continue to play a hunter named Aloy. The newest iteration of the PlayStation is PlayStation 5. It will be backwards compatible, allowing gamers to enjoy PS4 games on the new console. Microsoft’s new Xbox Series X will be its competition this holiday season with its launch at the same time.
Due to pandemic delays, the only glimpse received of the new PS5 console is of its new DualSense wireless controller. It has a built-in microphone array, so gamers don’t require a headset for chat, but also comes equipped with an audio jack. Reportedly, Sony is only offering 5 to 6 million PlayStation 5s for sale in the new console’s first two quarters. It’s expected to cost around $499 to $549 US.
