Camila Mendes, star of the popular teen show Riverdale, has picked out a $1.9M residence on Los Angeles’ Eastside, just a little bit away from Hollywood. Buying property in L.A. could be seen sort of a “rite of passage” for new stars, as staying close to the industry’s center hub is very important for filming.
The property, as reported by Variety, spans just over 2,000 square feet, consisting of 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The listing was held by Jessica Romero of Keller Williams, and she also represented Camila Mendes. The property was originally developed in 1924, but has been renovated so many times that the century-old property doesn’t seem that old.
An interesting note is that the property is barely visible from outside, and lies just below street level. This, combined with the gates that surround the property, allows for maximum privacy for its resident. The move is a landmark achievement in Camila’s career, seeing how she bagged the role of Veronica Lodge in Riverdale right as she was graduating college.
Camila Mendes is most popularly known for Riverdale but also has seen modest success with Netflix’s A Perfect Date. She was also the star for the popular film Dangerous Lies (2020), which debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. on Netflix. She has also appeared in Palm Springs, Coyote Lake, and The New Romantic.
As of now, a total of 74 episodes of Riverdale have aired. Riverdale was renewed for a fifth season on January 7, 2020, however, a release schedule has not been announced yet due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
