iPhone 12 to include a faster USB Type-C charger in the box

The iPhone 12 was already competitively priced for this year until Apple revealed a surprise update. This news hints at saving consumers even more money when buying the new device.

The new iPhone 12 will be including a 20W charger. This is a large step up from the original 5W chargers they usually provide. Apple has confirmed this themselves and submitted the details for certification. In Norway, they have made the new charger official, and the model number matches the leak of the iPhone 12.

The documentation provided in Norway revealed that the 20W charger will have a USB-C port versus USB-A. It also revealed that it will support power delivery (USB-PD) specs so that the fast charge could rival other companies. In even more amazing news, the iPhone 12 is already $50 cheaper than the iPhone 11. This means you will be saving over $100 on powerful accessories you would have had to buy separately previously.

When all is said and done, and you combine all the new accessories, new display, plus the jump to 5G–you are in a world full of savings. Apple will be launching four phones, the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The Pros will get 120Hz ProMotion support and LiDAR sensors, and with Apple making their own chips, they will be in a position of quality and lower costs than most other phones at the same level.
