One Perfect Shot is a Twitter account that shares with the public the best and most iconic images in the history film. It is an independent page created by Geoff Todd and maintained by many film art enthusiasts.
The fans of “One Perfect Shot” will receive a special gift from HBO Max; they will turn the page into a documentary series. According to Engadget, each 30-minute episode will allow viewers to enter a world in which they will explore each frame in part as it was shot, what difficulties and challenges the artists encountered in creating them, as well as the lessons and messages conveyed by them.
Ava DuVernay, an award-winning producer for Selma, 13th and many other shows, was inspired by the Twitter page and decided to begin the process of creating this mini-documentary series; the advantage, as mentioned by herself, is that it will be very easy and pleasant for her to work on this project because it is one of her favorite pages. Ava DuVernay, together with her very own ARRAY Filmworks, who are part of ARRAYNow, known for producing, distributing, and amplifying stories by black artists, has teamed up with Warner Horizon Unscripted Television for this project.
When you get to make a TV series about that Twitter account that you love. That’s me today. Gonna be a fun ride with @OnePerfectShot. Wait until you see the filmmakers break down their shots like you’ve never seen before. I mean… https://t.co/YeFqisUHW5 pic.twitter.com/8Aqh9hnMTf— Ava DuVernay (@ava) August 7, 2020
Few details are known so far about the new series, but it is awaited with great interest due to the producer who has delivered many successful projects for her fans! We only know that the premiere of One Perfect Shot documentary series will take place next year in 2021!
