More about the blue hole in the ocean, scientists reveal

We have enough ideas about the space and the planets revolving around, rather than the oceans, which we explore consistently. Sea gives food to many living organisms, and this biosphere is now turned more important than we considered before. Science about the ocean is limited, and it has many secrets beneath that remains unknown. Humans are known to exploit all the biosphere, and the marine ecosystem is one affected more. Scientists ponder over many years and found the deepest reaches of Earth’s ocean, called Blue hole. It is a type of sinkhole, believed to be formed by the freshwater springs that occur inside them.

A blue hole is a large marine cavern, which is open to the surface and has developed in a bank or island composed of carbonate bedrock. They extend below sea level (300 feet deep) and pave way for submerged cave passages. It has an anoxic effect and so unfavorable for the life of an organism. It is located off the coast of Florida and has a nickname Green Banana. There’s been a question to the researchers that the water inside the hole and outside the hole is the same or different, and they said the water is crystal clear.

The freshwater spring and the chemical weathering flushes out the material under the seafloor, thus creating a gap. To solve the mystery, they are dropping a massive piece of hardware into the hole and will analyze the situation happening over there. Even they collect samples in and out of the blue hole to get more ideas about it. These challenging research projects will be funded by the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA), and we hope to see the possible outcomes in the coming days.
