More people in the US are still facing their worst kind for about six months. On Tuesday, the cases crossed the previous daily records of people acquiring the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, the cases in the US rise to 10,238,243, with 239,588 deaths.
According to the data by Johns Hopkins University, the cases were approaching 200 thousand in a day. Notably, 201,961 cases were reported within 24 hours, and nearly 1,545 deaths have been observed.
Even hospitalization statistics has increased now, and almost 60,000 people are in hospitals. President-elect Joe Biden has asked everyone to wear a mask to control the spread. Also recently, the Pfizer vaccine was claimed to be 90% effective in preventing the infection, one good news to come out of this increasing third wave.
