Uttarakhand: Has anyone ever heard of the one-day-CM term in real-life? The dream came true for 19-year old Srishti Goswami. She has been appointed as a one-day CM for the state Uttarakhand on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. She will serve the state on January 24 as a CM for a day. This could be termed as the real-life version of the famous Hindi movie ”Nayak’.’
Background of Srishti
Shrishti might not be a famous person across the state. But she has shown interest in society from her childhood. She actively took part in various social welfare activities and also has been elected and working as the CM of Bal Vidhan Sabha, i.e., Children’sChildren’s State Assembly, since 2018.
Plan of action as the one-day-CM
Srishti is going to administer the state from Gairsain(Summer capital of Uttarakhand). Goswami is curious to work with the government and give her inputs regarding the welfare of Women across the state and also regarding the agriculture sector, which is the primary livelihood of more than 65% of the state population.
“I wholeheartedly thank CM Trivendra Singh Rawat for allowing me to become CM of Uttarakhand for one day. On January 24, the National Girl Child Day, officials from various departments will make five-minute-long presentations before me. I will give them suggestions, particularly on the issues related to girl-child safety,” quoted Srishti Goswami.
Goswami listens to presentations by at least 12 departments and gives them suggestions based on her ideas and thoughts for the welfare of society and child safety.
Srishti’sSrishti’s parents are very happy and excited about her daughter’s achievement and expressed their joy with the press saying, “We are extremely proud of our daughter’s achievement. It will send a message to all the parents to never hold back their daughters and support them fully to pursue their dreams.”
National Girl Child Day – January 24
National Girl Child Day is an initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2008 to mark the importance of Women and Children in the Country’s development and empower them.
It aims to spread Gender Inequality in society and raise a voice against gender stereotypes.
