On Thursday (January 11), Taylor Swift announced to the world that she would be dropping the re-recorded version of ‘Fearless,’ the album that made her recognized in the entertainment industry. The singer appeared on Good Morning America to share the news, along with the release of a new version of ‘Love Story,’ which dropped on Friday, at 12 am EST.
“Good morning America, it’s Taylor. I’m so excited to share with you that tonight at midnight I’ll be putting out my version of my song ‘Love Story’ which was originally on my album ‘Fearless’. I’ve now finished re-recording all of ‘Fearless’ which will be coming out soon,” she said on Good Morning America.
She then continued to say, “My version of ‘Fearless’ will have 26 songs on it because I’ve decided to add songs from the vault which are songs that almost made the ‘Fearless’ album but I’ve now gone back and recorded those so that everyone will be able to hear not only the songs that made the album but the songs that almost made it. The full picture!”
The artist is going through the process of re-recording her first few albums, ‘Taylor Swift,’ ‘Fearless,’ ‘Speak Now,’ ‘Red,’ and ‘1989’ since her contract with Big Machine Records ended in 2018. She had joined the label when she was 15 and is currently signed under Republic Records and Universal Music Group. It is also said that she only got the green light to start re-recording her previous albums at the end of last year due to issues with her old label.
The re-recorded album contains old classics, unheard songs, and nostalgic tunes and is available for pre-order at the moment. We can’t wait to see what ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ will bring!
