Disney+ had reportedly crashed for users on Friday (February 19) due to the sudden increase in app usage. Downdetector, a website that tracks outages, had reported that there was a sharp increase in user-submitted problems from zero to 8,000 just after midnight when the latest episode was released. Moreover, there were thousands who took to social media platforms to express their unhappiness.
The website had also mentioned that the crash was experienced mostly by those living in West Coast, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. However, the company had Disney+ up and running within 15 minutes in order to allow users to enjoy their episodes peacefully.
