Mr.360 – Backbone of RCB batting
Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first as dew plays a massive role in 2nd innings. DC got off to an ideal start. They dismissed the openers – Kohli and Padikkal inside the PP and restricted them for just 36 runs off the first 6 overs. Patidar and Maxi steading the ship but couldn’t score runs quickly.
Maxwell was dismissed in the 9th over. But this moment worked as a blessing in disguise for RCB as ABD stepped into the crease. Patidar-ABD pair added 54 runs in just 6.2 overs before Axar foxed Patidar. Protecting Sundar at one end, ABD cyclone had hit DC camp severely that they conceded 57 runs in the last 5 overs. Out of which ABD scored 49 of them. RCB got to a par-score of 171.

Hetmeyer, Pant, and Stoinis star for DC
Chasing 172 runs, DC didn’t get the greatest of starts as they lost experienced Shikhar and Smith cheaply. Prithvi and Pant have hit a few boundaries in the PP, but Harshal got rid of Shaw with a wide-ish slow delivery. Stoinis-Pant scored 45 runs in 5.2 overs to get back into the chase. But Stoinis’s untimely dismissal was a setback.
New incoming batsman Hetmeyer took his time to settle, but RRR was always going uphill. It was an even match with 61 needed off the last 5 and well-set Pant-Hetmeyer at the crease. But the game started swinging towards RCB soon as they gave away only 14 off the next 2 overs. DC needed 46 runs from the last 3. Hetmeyer has hit 3 sixers off Jamieson in the 18th, bringing down the equation to 25 off 12. Match went down to wire as Siraj was bowling the last over, and DC needed 10 off the last 2 with Pant on strike. Pant has hit 2 boundaries off the last 2 deliveries as Siraj executed well with his wide full tosses, which are hard to send out of the park.
