Apple has recently revealed photos of Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film called “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The photo depicts Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone acting in a crime drama film, also based on the nonfiction book of the same, written by David Grann.
The picture portrays an ordinary-looking man, i.e., DiCaprio, as Ernest, sitting beside Gladstone, as Mollie Burkhart in a starkly lit dining room. The movie represents a love story between the two characters, which also circles around the Osage Nation Murders, in which Native Americans were slaughtered after oil was discovered on their land in the 1920s.
The film’s supporting cast opposite to Gladstone and DiCaprio includes the famous Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Cara Jade Myers, Janae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Jason Isbell, Louis Cancelmi, Scott Shepherd, Sturgill Simpson, and many more.
Scorsese started filming the movie on April 19 after a long delay on account of the Covid-19 virus. “We are thrilled to finally start production on ‘Killers of the Flower Moon in Oklahoma,” “The Irishman director,” said in a statement last month regarding the film, which he is producing and directing based on a screenplay by himself and Eric Roth, as per New York Post. “To be able to tell the story on the land where these events took place is incredibly important and critical, allowing us to portray an accurate depiction of the time and people,” he added.
The movie is set to release by Paramount with funding from Apple. The date of release has not yet been disclosed.
